Hey guys,
I started up a project of creating a small program to help DIYourselfers create small clean energy projects. For now the program provides tools to estimate the quantity of solar panels, solar cells and batteries it would need to power up an electrical equipment for a determined amount of time.
This is the first version so it's in early stage of development.
Go check it out: Clean Energy Tools
Here's what the program looks like:

CET(Clean Energy Tools) is a desktop application and netbeans plugin that contains a set of simple tools to help DIYourselfers create small clean energy projects.
CET is developed on the netbeans platform.
http://platform.netbeans.org/
CET is composed of theses modules:
- CETCore (librairies)
- CETSolar
- CETDataAcquisition
Features:
- Update manager
CETSolar
The CETSolar module helps the user to calculate how much solar panels or solar cells are needed to power an electrical equipement for x number of hours a day.
Here's a screenshot of what the program looks like:

CETDataAcquisition module
Features:
- Read and send data from a serial device
- Monitor specific data using XML-like syntax (ex: the device would send <temp>23</>)
